It still seems kind of high but they should be hitting the 20+K vins this week.
No....That is where my info is From " Mr. Mole" Although he hasn't given me exact production numbers lets just sufice it to say that I know I am real Close in the 450 to 480 range.

I Know one day last week for sure that they did 450 and shut the line down early because that is all they had scheduled...My informant tells me they could have done 460 that day easy. They were hoping to ramp up to 480 but I think that is Max proposed per shift. Still only one shift though.

They have only worked one Saturday and that was this Saturday the 13th of June.

Full 8 Hr Shift.

My Standard disclaimer ( That is what I think I know, but, I don't always know what I think)

Forgive me if I am wrong......

Sorry for all the confusion. The VIN he gave me looked strange when he first gave it and that's why I asked him to double check the first couple times. He gave me the wrong VIN.

To RedRaider - the Cobalt SS comment killed me!

Anyways, the correct VIN, produced on June 9th was 16948
There ya go. 20 cars after mine.

Wow, I thought they had been working Saturdays for awhile now. Well he sorted it out as a dealer error anyways but if you figure 450 cars a day then they should be making vin #20000 sometime Wednesday. I wouldn't mind that as a vin# since it's supposed to be made sometime this week.

New to the process I was unaware of the order number..It is now June 15, 2009 and I contacted my dealer who stated the salesman I was dealing with is on vacation. I talked to the sales manager and asked him for my order number for tracking purposes, he told me they did not have any allocations and he would call me when one becomes available. I stated to him that I was told by him that the car was ordered and he corrected my in telling me that it was not...HUH???? I have been one of the patient ones who have allowed time to pass without driving my dealer nuts. I understand fellow Camaro owners have waited a long time for thier forever cars!!! I am willing to wait, but when I hand someone $1000.00 for a deposit, they tell me its ordered and then 2 weeks later, to be told that they did not have any allocations is just pure I am getting ready to spend close to 40K for my forever car and this is how GM wants me to remember this process!!! I am ready to order from another dealer, is that the right move? Thanks to you all that have gone through this before, now its my turn, I guess. Any dealers out there that want my business???? Looking for one that is upfront and no smoke machines!!! Heading up to Indiana/Michigan at the end of July beginning of Aug...will pick up and drive home...will only pay MSRP... Are there any out there???? Waiting patiently for my forever car...You all be safe, don't mean to be ...
You ordered on May 27th and you're complaining that you don't have your Camaro yet.......

I must confess that the idea came from another post where a guy was ticked off at a sales guy for telling him that Camaro woldn't make it to production, so he bought a Cobalt SS instead!

I'm already starting to feel the pain of the wait. Seeing Blevina's car every damn day is killing me! I'm hoping I will have mine no later than Sept, and not before another pre-order car is built. My hat goes off to you guys who ordered back in Oct without anything but a concept car to look at.

Yes, I asked him to double and triple check the VIN and he said it's right and the VIN calculator confirmed a valid check digit.

You guys think this is too high?
I just got my vin today 18456 ,I think he's way off!!!
