Flutter Fix ?

What have you guys been doing to reduce the flutter in 1st 2nd and third when you take off with the rpms at 7-8-9- hundo ?

from what I gather, this is the the price you pay for the solid isolator ?

Now, does the 5% pulley take car of this issue ?

I have been just moving out above 1k and all is well but I have had enough of it.

Any fixes out there ?

Thanks

You might try the ATI Super Damper with the 5% OD Lower Pulley.

It might help a little...

Attachment 681546
Its part of the 5% OD Lower pulley kit. It is the hub essentially that the 5% pulley mounts to and allows for further over drive pulleys to be installed easily. (% 10,18,22,etc. OD)

Give JRE a call and they will hook you up. I sure like mine from them!

Did it reduce the flutter ? or does it happen at a lower rpm ?
Thanks again for your time.

I have zero flutter but Then again I don't even think I could shift my car between 700-900 rpm's if I tried. Lol.. didn't know that was possible. Lol
I will say the very few that have reported flutter after there supercharger replacement, complain of it just on initial go, when letting out the clutch in 1 rst ...

Only fix I can think of is to adjust your driving style a little bit to be a bit more aggressive. Easy fix....

On another note I do have a 10 percent lower with Ati superdamper, so maybe that's why I don't experience it.

Wonder if this flutter is an install issue.

... Much info on 5 about this ...

Check out post #229

I am far from an expert on this but after reading the HUNDREDS of posts here on 5 I am feel better educated for sure.
Most opinions feel a 5% pulley will resolve this, although as is life there is no guarantee.
I had my 2013 SC replaced just last week and have already decided that IF I ever hear this "rattle" again I will go to a 5% immediately as GM is done with me/us after replacement.

You realize even after replacement you still have the extended 120,000 mile warranty on the supercharger.

I wouldn't know, I have a torque converter that fixed the issue for me.

I would just assume that it might help and if it doesn't it is still an excellent mod for a little extra power.

No I get that but, once SC is replaced with solid unit a NEW bulliten is given to owners stating that the "new" rattle is "normal.

Just figure 'in most cases' unless a major failure were to occur with a little hiding no one will ever know there is a 5% on the car anyway, SO FAR most feel this will also solve "flutter'

has anyone been successful in getting rid the new SC flutter with a lower pulley change, 5 or 10 percent ????
need feedback before modding.

I have the ATI Super Damper with the 5% OD Lower Pulley and I don't have this "flutter" you guys are speak of.....

Original S/C as well....no noise so I haven't done the recall.

If it ain't broke don't fix it......
