Battery Tender for winter storeage

I received a battery tender as a gift and I'm headed over to my Camaro's storeage area to attach. The Camaro manual does not indicate where the battery is located, just states that there is a positive post on the driver side engine compartment, and a negative post on the frame in the engine compartment. I'm assuming the battery must be located in the trunk. I'm sure a number of Camaro owners have their Camaro's connected to battery tenders, and was wondering where is the battery located, and is better to hook direct to the battery or use the post in the engine compartment?

YES, battery is located in the trunk..
And I would think that it wouldnt matter whether or not the Tender was connected direct to battery or to the underhood posts.

The battery is indeed located in the trunk. Hook the tender directly to the battery.
