O rly? That guy has 4 posts... since April. Plus, it's simply not possible given the Cobra time is accurate.

Here is the main deal. All 3 cars are kick ass. I like the Challenger first, Camaro second and Mustang last. SS and GT VS 392 the 392 wins, but the GT500 is faster and the ZL1 WILL be faster all in bone stock form. Now, add mods and things get different. Modding the Dodge stuff is no where near as easy as the Ford and GM stuff. Those 2 win hands down in the modding department over the Challenger. Mod for mod Dodge cant compete. It all depends on the money. I can make my 392 a 9 sec. car if I wanted to but im done with that stuff. Been there done that. It all depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to mod and go fast with the least amount of money, SS Camaro and Mustang 5.0. If you want to go fast stock for stock, (SS, 5.0, 392) the 392. BUT you can still go fast with the Challenger, just takes a little deeper pockets. The Challenger is more comfortable and has more room. Thats the main reason I got it. Its a low 12 car in the 114 trap speeds, and can haul some groceries at the same time.

^The trufff!!! You'd be hard pressed to find a stock 5.0 with a 111+ traps. Boss, yeah, they are up there, I'd say on par with the 392 when it comes to ET, but with a better trap. The 5.0 in the Boss has a much better top end than the standard 5.0.
I love the Challenger. I test drove it and the Camaro before I bought the Mustang. In fact, I put almost 2,000 miles on the Camaro (friend's car) in about a week's span. Drove that bitch to Pacific Grove from Phoenix (~720 miles one way). Drove it on the PCH and it was awesome. Loved the ride, loved the handling, hated how my head touched the roof in my driving position. I hate leaning my seat back. That was one of the main reasons I didn't choose the Camaro. Test drove the Mustang last, and it impressed me the most. Maybe because I expected the least from it. I wasn't even going to consider it, but my buddy with the SS told me I need to drive it before I buy something since he drove it and like it, and a week after I test drove all three, ended up with the Mustang. The SS by far I think looks the best, followed by the Challenger, then the Mustang when stock. All are about the same when it comes to every day driving, all are close in performance. It's a ricer argument comparing cars mod for mod, as the guy with the deepest pockets will win regardless of what he owns. |
