NEVER unplug a control module w/out first disconnecting the negative terminal in the trunk directly from the battery.

Its a very hard lesson learned luckily your warranty covered it and the cars fine again, most important thing to remember BEFORE any electrical work is being performed DISCONNECT the NEGATIVE battery cable it might be a pain in these cars to get to but in the long run it saves your computers and other electrical components from voltage spikes.

I am having the same problem, dealer is changing ecm and bcm 1st then going from there.
They feel it was struck by lightning or a voltage spike from from a short in a harness or a module |
