(EDIT) also they say so many camaro owners break there transmissions is becasue of a belt/chain in the transmission that rips from to much stretching....

That’s funny, like it has a CVT. They just depend on people being ignorant.

That or they seem to think the timing chain is in the transmission LOL

Most dealers try to sell you a flush, my local dealer only does the drain fill. I had the drain fill done @ 50k.

Man, my dealer got me with that flush BS. I went in and request just a change in transmission fluid. Every time I was talking to the service guy he kept referring to it as transmission flush. And I would correct him and say just fresh fluid. After about the 5th time I just assumed “flush” was their lingo for “new fluid”. Then comes the $3xx.xx bill and I was like wtf... sooo I had a transmission flush... now I know.

So dropping the pan will allow 7 quarts to drain?
Used to th350s and 400s and you dont get a lot out.

Just realized the OP was a v6. That was the capacity of my v8 automatic trans when I did a pan drop and filter change. I don't know if the 6 is different. When I owned an LFX it was a manual and didn't take much gear oil when I would do the transmission servicing.

On the v6 cars if you drop the pan and replace the filter it will take 7 qts. Don't over fill it.
