There are videos on you tube that do good job of explaining the layout.

Since youtube no longer has the installation videos, I'm not sure where you can turn. I don't remember any paper instruction coming with them. You may have to see if anyone can take detailed pictures of the bottom of the hood with them installed and go from there. I never actually installed mine and sold them last year.

I tried finding you the video I used. I'll try to have a photo uploaded for you tomorrow morning showing where I began the first hole. From there you can adjust

Yea I looked too, couldn't find anything, they are all gone! I did have the original install video that Steve Hines had saved in my bookmarks, but the link to it doesn't work anymore. I had them in my stock hood and he had installed them for me at his house, back when I had them.

I finally remembered to open my hood to find how I had placed mine. The video, I can recall, had me put a pilot hole on the edge of the underhood support where I have set the circles. The inside edge of the vents should run alongside the outer edge of the two middle support braces. You will be able to see roughly how mine are placed.
Once you make the hole now you know where in the top of the hood the vents will be roughly located. Now it is up to you to make sure you adjust the vents such that they look straight to the eye based on the lines of the car. Now that you have found a good position for them, hold them very still as you'll trace them using a sharpie. After you will cut through the hood, I used a jig saw and then touched up using a Dremel to clean any tight areas. Very important to use tape to tape to keep your paint from chipping and cracking as you cut away. |

Awesome instructions!! That's how we did mine too. And a word of caution, when you are cutting the hood, make sure you use a NEW and sharp blade and if you have someone to help you, use a shop vac to suck up the tiny chips of aluminum flying in front of the blade, this will help the cut go cleaner, and DON'T rush it, take your time. And remember, the hood is aluminum, and thin, so DO NOT push down on it or you risk denting it and making it uneven. Good luck, you're gonna love them, they work nicely and look great! Good luck.

Yes, for sure remove the hood to keep all the junk out of the engine compartment and protect from the blade hitting anything under it, like the engine cover or fuel lines etc. We took mine off and set it on 2 saw horses, but a few large cardboard boxes will work too.

I got mine installed at CamaroFest a long long time ago. He did actually remove my hood to do the job. If you can, it is better. We just removed and repainted mine this weekend. It's not easy to get between the hood and engine! Good luck.
