Anyone running Solo HF Cats?

Just wondering if anyone is running the Solo high flow cats on their Z?
I have found only one user (SlingShot) who posted a sound clip.
Anyone else running solo's with stock exhaust?
Do they sound close to LT headers with cats?
Thinking about doing Solo cats and the noweeds diverters.
Dont want to tune at this time and looking for some opinions.
Thanks!

I have the JDA High flow solo cats on mine. Install was easy and they sound great, not to loud. Only other mods are a roto-fab, rx catch can and a mild to wild controller.

I have been wanting to get these cats as well. I have seen several posts where they have melted down. Could have been the tune? Please keep us updated on how they work out.

Which cats were mentioned in the posts? JBA or Solo performance?

JBA. Have seen at least two post by members. One by forum sponsor that had them melt down.

Thanks for pointing that out...good to know!.. I am going with the Solo cats. I also have seen posts that mention problems with some of the high flow cats. Maybe the cats were not rated for the hp and exhaust temps some of these cars are making?

I tried the Solo cats and my experience so far:

Positives:
- Nice improvement in sound and did seem to provide a nice bump in HP.
- With the extenders on the secondary O2 sensors, they do work with factory tune without causing CELS.

Negatives
- One of the cats melted during a HPDE event. (Factory tune and boost, only mods are RF CAI and 87mm ported TB) Solo sent me a replacement but as of now it appears these cats may not hold up for road course use.
- Required some minor trimming of the belly pan which was unexpected and disappointing.

Thanks for the post! Are you still using them? Which model did you use? (L99 or LS3)
The melting issue has me bummed. IM glad they replaced it for you! Did they have anything to say about it melting?

Thanks. I have almost 4000 miles on mine and the only issue I've had (with a factory tune) was a CELS. I installed stainless O2 sensor extenders and it fixed the issue. I haven't done any real track racing but I've done quite a few hot laps at the Glen without an issue. I believe I read somewhere on here that tuned ZL1's with increased boost pressure is the cause for melting these cats during extended track use.
