$750 G.M. Rebate And Delivery

I did a factory order of a Camaro 2SS on February 23 and was hoping to use the $750 Toronto auto show discount. My dealer informed me if the car didn't arrive by the end of April the coupon would expire and I couldn't get the credit. I tried calling G.M. for a couple week extension but had no luck. What are your opinions and or experience doing factory orders? Is there any chance of having the car delivered by the end of April? Thanks

Do you know your TPW? If it's too close to the end of April then probably won't make it. But shipping dates after actual production vary quite a bit. So it's a gamble either way.

If the dealer gets the invoice and the car is on the way, he can pull ahead the retail registration and get the discount, if not, no dice.

I ordered my 1LE early October last year and I picked it up 7 weeks later. But it can vary considerably.

I have been told during the Montreal auto show that sometimes GM can reactivate the rebate if I was planing to use it later than April... might be worth checking with another dealer.

Which dealership?

My buddy works at Surgenor Barrhaven. Should be about 6-7 weeks for an order. Or they can always bring one in from another dealership. They should write it into the deal that if you don' get the autoshow bonus in time. They cover the $750 from the dealership.

The dealer wasn't able to find a similar car for a dealer trade and said there wasn't enough money left in the deal for them to cover the $750. They did say order the car and if came in time for the rebate great if not there might be a different rebate or if not I didn't have to purchase the car. I am hoping it comes in before end of April

How did you get the Toronto auto show discount? Did you have to get something at the auto show? My 1LE was built 2 weeks ago and am just waiting for it to be delivered to the dealership.

Which dealer? Sounds to me like they are giving you a bunch of crap to be honest.

I asked my buddy last night about this who works for GM. He said they are full of it. No dealership is going to sell a Camaro for less than $750 gross profit. Usually it's about $1500

At the Toronto auto show I entered the "Driven to Win Contest " at the GM booth and they sent me an email that said since I entered the contest at the auto show I qualified for the $750 discount towards lease or buy of a new GM. The issue is it expires April 30. The discount comes from GM not the dealer and comes off the after tax price just like the $500 visa application does. Ottawa Guy ask your buddy but both GM and the dealer are saying I cant use it if the car comes in after April 30. If the car comes before there is no problem using it. The other option is trying to find someone to sign me up at the Quebec city auto show because they have the same rebate available at the show. The show starts March 6 so that rebate expires later.
