#6 Sunoco Camaro in-car video from Watkins Glen.
As featured on CAMARO5 HOMEPAGE.
Watkins Glen was another up and down weekend, but every day is a school day and all the experiences now will make us stronger in the future! I usually don't like to post my in-car videos, but I think the purity of the fans here deserve it! To save my fingers I'll just repost the descriptions from YouTube. Chapter 1: Start of the CTSCC race at the Glen in the Stevenson Motorsport Sunoco Camaro. Right off the bat I hit a fellow competitor when (I assume) he mis-shifted-- there is no way I should be able to hit him that hard without something like that happening. Moments later, another M3 spun in front of me. As I slowed (not taking any chances), I get hit from behind quite hard. I drop down the order, once again, and start playing catchup! Car had slightly misaligned suspension but was good enough to make some passes, though I gave some up, not willing to take too many risks. Chapter 2: Just starting to get into the thick of the ST traffic. Minor damage to the alignment of the car from the start of the race didn't seem to hinder the mighty Sunoco Camaro too much. My goal, as always, was just to keep out of trouble, make as many places up as possible, and give Jeff a good, clean car. Despite avoiding most gambles in traffic, I still was hit quite hard right on the left rear wheel (6:55) by an ST Mazda MX5. This caused some really odd handling issues that existed til the rest of the race. Chapter 3: Toward the end of my stint, the tires and alignment issues were definitely hurting the performance of the big Camaro. I still got to have some fun fighting through traffic, though! I tried my best not to take too many risks and just play strategically. The Sunoco Camaro worked very well considering all its battle damage! |

Will do! It's always fun to meet fans face to face and get to know them more personally. Next race is at New Jersey Motorsport Park, July 16-17. The Stevenson Motorsports Camaro GT.R Rolex GT cars will be racing next in Daytona, July 2-3.

The #9 did GREAT at Mid-Ohio but found their own bad luck! I'm sure I could convince them to give me some of their in-car footage as well. Keep posted, I'll keep sending up some video as soon as I get it.

This is fantastic, thank you so much for taking the time to post here. I love watching GT racing because they are cars that I can buy and drive. My Civic Si dominates it's class the past couple of years, and by the time I get a Camaro, I hope to see you guys win your class!
I could watch these in-car videos all day, the skill you folks have is just humbling to wannabe racers like me.

Those videos are absolutely fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing these!!!
The car looks and sounds strong. Looks like the handling is solid and predictable; I noticed you were able to go deeper into the corners without drama compared to the cars ahead of you. The Mustangs and Porsches in particular looked twitchy in the back while your car was tracking it very well. Up until that guy hit you when I could see the back of the car behaving squirrelly, you looked very solid and even after he hit you it was still impressive! This car definitely has the beans to win! Great job!
