Lookin to buy a 3rd gen...

...what do the 3rd gen experts think of these? I wanna get one to fiddle around with, make some improvements but not sink too much cash into. Then maybe take it to the track for some fun.

The Blue '92 is a little steep for what I'm prepared to pay right now, I mostly included it for comparitive purposes.

Any input/advice greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Nick

Man that first one looks pretty good if it's a real IROC Z, and if its in as good of condition that it says then I'd get it. I didnt look at the other 4 but that first one looks like it'd definatly be worth a good look over and test drive if you can do it.

Blue 92 (save up a bit more and get it if you can), Black IROC, Red IROC and blue 89. That would be the order that I would consider. All nice cars though.

This... Or the black IROC first. I hate the 90-92 interior. It's yellow guages and big airbag steering wheel are ugly. Also, keep in mind, the 92 and blue 89 are NOT Z28s so some suspension stuff won't be as beefy. Look for a late 88/89 IROC.

FWIW... I paid $5000 for my 89 IROC in 2008 with 83,000 miles. All original 350. You saw the pics in the other thread.

It's such a $^*#$ rip off!
For the last 4 years, our dollars have been on par...currently $1 Canadian is worth $1.04 US and stuff here still costs way more!
