I want 2010 Camaro GEARS!
I have been asking around everywhere for Rear end Gears for my new Camaro. It feels TALL! I want something that is a little more performance, like 4.10 or 4.30's. This sounds steep, but the tires are really large, so it is like a 3.73 on a f-car or Mustang.
Apparently the rear end gears are new design for the 2010 Camaro, so none of the existing gears available will work. We have to wait for the aftermarket... |

I'm sure they're not far from becoming available. I can see where you're coming from, though I haven't driven one yet. Those tires are something like two more inches that the last generation, not to mention I'm sure they're heavier on top of that. I kinda' think that even going 3.73s may not even prove that much of a benefit, unless the person is just looking for a small improvement. Personally, I'll be looking at a set of ZR1 wheels and matching tires because I love their look and the tires are smaller if I remember right.
Tick-tock, LOL.

In another thread where someone else was asking about the same thing, it was suggested that Corvette parts would fit.

Corvette parts will not fit. I have it from a connected source that these are a new design. The car needs it bad, as I have alot of clutch needed just to launch the car mildly!
4.1 is the first try for me, but I think 4.30 will be the best for what I want to do. Please aftermarket! Here our call! |

Several vendors are looking at this market. I know the guy at ADM had posted about developing a source.
I have a 3.90 due here today or tomorrow. My source is still 3 months from production. Hopefully if anyone else has a source they will step forward. Robin

I had a set of 4.10 gears in my 99 Trans Am and did they ever wake up the car. It made 6th gear actually usable.
After driving the "new beast" for 6 months after I get it I definitely going to consider gears. ~Ryan |

The aftermarket is way ahead of schedule. We have all kinds of stuff coming out with the thanks of Pedders, Lingenfelter, Tom Henry Racing, DSV Customs, and a long line of other companies that have been contributing big and small parts to the growing list of Camaro products. Expect gears really soon.
