rear end brake question for a 87 Camao

Do you need a proportioning valve at all when you convert from drum to disk on the rear of a 87 Camaro, making it disk brakes front and back. Can you hard line the rear disks or should I put rubber hose at the end . I can use the existing line if I can use stainless all the way if I don't need a hose on the end.
