Hey All,
Just received a new front splitter in the box from my Chevrolet dealer, so they are apparently back in stock. I keep a standing order for certain Z28 parts, so when they become available he sends me one. FYI

Thanks, I just ordered one to put on the shelf as well. Tried this about a year ago, dealer located one and it was damaged upon arrival. Today they said no problem, coming out of Michigan. We will see!

Shit I only paid $356 for mine after tax at my local dealer like 6 mos ago. They kept cancelling my order because it showed that it was discontinued, but when I called in, they confirmed they could get them, and now 1 is in the garage. They wouldn't ship to my house though, and even if they did, the shipping took the price up by like $300. They said they no longer ship to residences because they tend to come in scratched from shipping.

I had to order online, call the parts department, get a specific lady on the phone and tell her not to cancel the part and that I would be picking up at the dealership, and tell her the parts dept confirmed they can get it....and of course, I had to call the parts department and confirm they could get it (buying through them at the counter was 6 hundred and something; had to order online for the lower price).

Since I am near Pittsburgh as well I'd be interested in which dealer took your order. I've tried my dealer and they say not available and won't take an order it appears. I won't try to order one from the same dealer as you, at least not until you get yours. Would really like to have a spare for the future. Keep us informed as to the status of your order if it changes.

Any good dealer will take your order, we placed an order last week, but they needed a VIN to place the order, good thing i have one.

So I work for one of the largest dealer groups in PGH but ordered from a good friend at Sun Chevy. I had a not so good experience my the parts manager at my Chevy store with the last one i ordered that was damaged. I haven't received the new one yet. it was coming out of Michigan. I will let you know once it arrives!
