2018 ZL1 Front brakes locking up

New to the 6th gen and the ZL1. I have had the car for almost a month now. On 2 occasions I have had the front brakes lock up on me and stick for a good 5-10 minutes. It has happened both times right after a start up and I go to take off. it clearly feels like just the front brakes. I have to give it a good amount of gas before they let up. After that they seem fine no brake smell or anything like that. No lights on the dash or anything. Could it be rust on the rotors causing them to stick?

Did you just wash the car or something and put it in the garage? The rotors will get some surface rust and the pads with stick until you break free from the rust. After a wash I always drive the car down the street and use the brakes to give the rotors a wipe before parking.

The only other thing that comes to mind is some sort of Hill Start assist if you are on an incline in the M6.

Yes the first time I washed the car out pulled it in the garage and let it sit. The second time was right after that. I bet I just need to drive it and clear off all the rust. Thanks!!

That will do it. Also with the M6 you probably engaged the emergency brake which is more than likely what is sticking. The pads will stick if rusted.

Thats the weird thing. Since I hate the electric parking break I don't use it that much and I know the first time it wasn't set but the 2nd time it was. Car is currently getting expel put on the front end
