Something I just thought up, how would a car look if you used CGM or Black vinyl to fill into the location where the bolts show? I think it's kind of crappy that there's such a gap there. I think filling in w/ vinyl stripe material could possibly make for a good set up. If I were to do a ZL1 spoiler I'd be tempted to try it.

I put a strip of black vinyl to cover mine you could not tell, I ordered flat plugs to put in the holes those arrived the day I took the car into the shop to have the deck lid repainted under the spoiler paint chip TSB the dealership body shop filled in the holes at no cost so I never had a chance to use the plugs.

If you are not an SS then you drill ALL holes. If you are an SS you need to fill three holes and drill three holes. The fill holes are two for attach bolts from old SS spoiler and one guide hole that aligns old spoiler. The new holes are two for attaching just outside of the stoplight and one to pull the wire into the decklid. Reffering to above post by 2SSRS, I removed the two plastic alignment pins from the ZL1 spoiler as they are not needed. Hope this helps. FYI, while I was filling the three old SS holes I also filled the two bowtie holes for a cleaner look.
Mr RS has a factory spoiler is it different then a SS spoiler?

No the coupe spoilers are the same LS, LT, or SS, the Verts are different than the coupes.

any pics of the proposed cf block off plate concept? Maybe a date you plan for it to be available?
