That's pretty much the same thing as the anti-foulers that I installed last week. Once they were installed the 02 sensors set but as soon as they did I threw a CEL. I notified the tuner and they sent me the tune that I am trying out now. The anti-foulers can be picked up at any local parts for about $8 for a set.

If you find someone close that has EFI live, you can just send me a copy of the tune and I'll make the adjustments to make it pass with no driving time needed.

I really appreciate that offer and appreciate you trying to help... Yeah TN just doesn't really have any good shops around at least with 3 -4 hrs drive time from the Nashville area.

I think the SCT are good for the performance tunes, but I guess when you get into problems like I am having then that's where the problem comes in.

Well, I hope you figure it out to help the 100's of other people that will have the same problem as you soon.

You have another option to contact the tuner Jesse from Wait4me performance. He is extremely good and has great deals on tunes/extra computers. Talk to him.

Ray, hang in there we are doing everything we can. I know Ted just sent you a tune on Saturday. We have set everything to not report, so that is not your fix. SCT has that feature.

I appreciate that Nick and you guys have been great to me, but I have to get through emissions right away. I keep having folks tell me that they can tune it and the rediness monitors will show in teh "Ready" state without all this driving. This is the 5th tune that has been sent to me and I have had to drive it over 200 miles each time before I get to any problems when the monitors try and reset. This is getting very expensive fuel wise and I can not keep do that. I really need to get my tags by the end of the week or no later than next week. I am almost 2 months out on expired tags and I have been trying to get it ready for about 6 weeks now.

They are NOT the same. These have catalyst wires that change the gas content presented to the O2 sensors and produce heat in the exhaust stream. You might want to look again.

I did not say they were exactly the same as I stated they were pretty much the same thing and both have the same concept. If you want to spend that much for the same results then by all means that is your choice.

They still didn't work in the Challengers we tried them in. With the antifoulers you have to steel wool them.

Problem is,if the tuner is just deleting the rear 02's to keep them from setting codes the 02 readiness will never be ready.

We don't delete the Rear 02's in the tunes.

Can you explain what you mean by steel wool them? Do you just stuff it full of steel wool? Won't it rust and be gone real quick or were people just doing it right before a test to pass and then dealing with codes the rest of the time?

I am still working with Ted on this issue and he seems to think that the Kooks headers are releasing too much heat because they are not coated. Is there anyone else that has passed emissions with Kook's headers? if so are they coated or wrapped? Hopefully we can find out soon so I get get back legal.

Thanks,

Ray
