Turning off AFM - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

If I get a tuner and disable the AFM and get a Axle Back exhaust will my gas mileage get better or worse, my avg mile per gallon is like 16. in the city.

There are tons of threads on this. To sum them up, all things equal, there is no significant change in fuel mileage after tuning out AFM.

That said, people love their cars more once that garbage AFM is disabled in the tune.

Mine got better when I got it tuned, probably due to the fact that the car is no longer going between V4 and V8 mode. The Axle Back won't do much as all you are changing out it the Muffler, you'll change the sound not much else.

Mine is down a bit but not bad. City is @ 16, Highway is @ 24. Avg is 19. Mods are CAI, SW's LT headers, GMPP axle back, AFM delete, resonater delete.

The damned thing is constantly switching on a off in the city, your only real gains are going to show on the highway. And only a couple miles difference really.
