retrofitting HUD seems pretty easy, tons of people are doing it. GEn5diy.com has a great kit at a good price

The Mylink in mine works flawlessly, just a tad slow sometimes. The HUD mod is well worth the effort IMHO. Trying to figure out how to put one in my wife's new Fusion now lol.

My mylink is working perfectly! though I will be getting rid of it later on for a new touchscreen head unit along with a full sound system overhaul. All the mylink is, is just a fancy stereo that cant do too much especially since it doesnt have a CD player.

I see you're in Central Arkansas, go drive up to Searcy, there is a used white ZL1 with 300 miles on it at ORR.
