New door speakers

Quick question for those who have put new component speakers in the front doors with the BA OEM system.

Is it better to use the stock wiring for the tweeter and door speaker, or to just use the door speaker wires and hook it up into the new external crossover that comes with the new speakers and run new wiring to the tweeter and door speaker from the new crossover?

Thanks!

Unless you have an active crossover or DSP you are going to need to use your components crossover. Without the crossover there's not much protection from low freq signals blowing your tweeters. I don't know a lot about the BA system maybe it has an inline converter, but I wouldn't rely on it matching your new speakers even if it does.
