The fact that he ran it as a dd probably wasn't running it at the track with it. He's also the only one that seems to say bama wasn't crap. Just out of curiosity do you guys ever have anything constructive on this forum lol. I only see you guys post on any 5.0 thread chiming in on how it's faster.
Seems like they are getting faster by the day.....I've raced and beaten a 5,0 so I know that a victory is not guaranteed in any race. I ve lost a few as well..win some lose some. Those are the real facts......

x2. to each their own, but I don't see the point of paying a hundred bucks just for the sound.

Here is my cammed tune

I have 18k miles on my mt82. Not a single issue but did do the Red line transmission fluid and clutch line witch helps out big time with the shifting

Yeah that seems to work, but still a hit and miss. I had a buddy with a bone stock CS that had his 3rd gear sync replaced 3 times. So yeah hit and miss with it ford also had a tsb to change the fluid during the winter right ? I know the autos are great just not fun to me. Also I had 2800 miles on it and my rear fender was starting to fade our from the rest of the car. Someone else on modded mustangs had the same issue mine was black theirs white.

In 2007 I bought a new C6 Z51 M6 which was later traded for a 2012 Camaro SS 45th AE. In early 2013 that was traded in on my current vehicle a 2014 Mustang GT Track Pack. My GT is closer to the performance of my C6 than the Camaro.

For those of you talking about power differences each engine has it's advantages & disadvantages. Keep in mind that Ford is putting out similar power with 1.2 liters less displacement. And any torque deficit is more than made up with numerically higher transmission & axle ratios. The chart Motor Trend made in 2011 for Camaro SS vs Mustang GT vs Challenger SRT8 showed the three cars actual rear wheel torque per gear. The Mustang was notably higher than both the Camaro and Challenger.

As for the MT-82 problems I'm the pickiest person on the planet and I can't complain. In my car there is very, very faint gear whine when hot due to the thinner DCT fluid Ford now uses. It shifts perfectly and the clutch effort/feel is unchanged even after spirited driving. The later statement did not apply to a single one of my recent GM vehicles.

5.0s are pretty awesome vehicles too. It all really comes down to preference with these 2 muscle cars. The ying and yang....

You know what's funny is I sold my 08 GT in Dec. 09 to get this car and am a member of at least 3 Mustang forums but I never once trolled those forums after my SS purchase even though the SS was night and day faster than the 3v.

If you wanna tell us how much better the 5.0 is over the SS go ahead let it out lol. Track times speak for the 5.0 faster than a Ls3 Camaro. And circuit times speak for the 1LE faster than a track pack or even a Boss. At the end of the day it all depends on what you want a faster straight line car or a Cornering car. Also this is a public forum and being a former 5th gen owner i fill like i can be on here just as much as you two
