850rwhp
You can definitely get there easier with twins or pro chargers.
My question is: Are you just interested in 850rwhp from the Dyno point of view? Or track? I just want to bring up that having "850 RWHP" from prochargers or twins vs having it from a whipple, Maggie, or Kenne Bell is a big difference in "capability at the track" Going to the track requires power at RPMs other then where the Maximum RWHP happens at. For the same maximum RWHP the whipple, etc will have a more levelized (and higher torque across most of the RPM band) This happens since the twins and pro chargers torque rises mostly at the higher RPM level whereas the whipple etc starts high and goes down some towards the higher RPMs Thus a 850 RWHP whipple will generally have a higher capability (mph at minimum)

Just don't throw 1500+rwhp of turbos on it, and it won't be an issue. A pair of ~950-1000rwhp turbos will spool very quick and have better power/torque anywhere 3k+ where racing actually happens. Now if you did twin 66s then that maybe 4k+ but either way, if you are lower than 4k while racing you need driving lessons.

There is a reason why no twins or pro chargers hit 9 secs with a 800 RWHP build...yes transmission changes will help..but we are talking like for like. Has any twins done 9.81 with low 800 RWHP? I've not seen it. Jamie's maggie did 9s with 7xx RWHP. Once again swapping out transmission would help the results.

It is sure fun as hell to smack talk HP, but how it's delivered is key. Speaking plot keys: ___Ted (xxxwhp,884ftlbs) = forged 416cid, eForce, N2O [dyno cut short for some reason] ___Ray (804,804)= stock 376cid, twin turbo ___Garth (839,864) = forged 376cid, Magnuson, N2O ___Hubbard (762,706)= stock 376cid, centrifugal ___Kyle (631,638) = stock 376cid, SLP ___Allen (692,774) = stock 376cid, N2O It is so interesting to see how and where the torque and power are delivered with each mod (on the dyno). But, at the track, HP ain't the king. Sorry, OP, for this off-topic tangent; dyno queens are neato. But more HP doesn't always win the race. How it's delivered is paramount. Remember, when you're running the quarter, you ain't puttering around at 2,000rpm; you're more likely between 4,500-7,000rpm, so, look at that range for your delivery. The most area under the curve (in that range) is most likely going to get you across the finish line first (provided you plant the power). But, if you're just looking for a dyno queen, turbos will get your there easier...

Oh, and at the track: Ted > Garth = Ray = Allen > Hubbard > Kyle [quarter results]

Here is what I mean.
Please have some show me a twin or pro charger with a better torque curve for same max rhwp

I agree Dreksnot. my turbo kit has matched tq to horsepower since I put it on in 2011. 5.8psi making 581whp 589wtq to now making 20 psi 1145whp 1139wtq. To the OP TX2k is something I've done since 08, trust me when I say TT is the way to go and as unreal said already it's easier to make the power and easier to grow. I've doubled my starting point power with the same turbokit. No swapping blowers and pulleys and another great thing about turbos is adjustability. It's nice to have 850whp, but sometimes you may want it a little lower and it's nice to be able to have that. Right now on my boost controller I have settings as low as 740whp and as high as 1145whp. Definitely go turbo!

Here is an old one of mine on an unloaded dyno. On the unloaded dynos the turbos spool slower and don't hold boost as well, but on the street they are at full boost about 500-800rpm sooner and hold boost at high rpm better. This is 9psi stock cam, stock exhaust, stock engine, just turbos. And then with the racing that goes on at tx2k you could always brake boost and have tq more similar to the nitrous guys. I'm not saying screw type isn't good, but wouldn't be my choice.

Thanks for all the input guys. But I made up my mind I'm going to go twin turbo especially for 2k16. I'm not looking for a dyno queen but at the same time most of the runs in Houston are going to be highway Not Track. Basically from a roll.... I'm not looking for the fastest car out there all I'd be happy with is mid tens on the track. the reason I'm shooting for 850 horsepower is because my step brother is telling me I cant get my car to that level. And he drives a freaking Mustang that's stock... so there pride on the line also...lol

That is a VERY NICE torque and power curve!!! More than respectable.

Plus, with twins, it's fun to roust the supercharger guys that you need to swap your turbo pulley to increase boost, or change or tighten the turbo belt you shredded...

Yours transmission will be broke or close to it while on the dyno. 6L80 is junk.
