1968 Camaro Yenko Clone--YES or NO?!

Good afternoon--my name is Bruce--I used to be an active member on here in 2013 when we ordered a 1LE Camaro through Becky--however we no longer own that car and I haven't been on this forum for a few years--we are looking for advice from fellow Camaro enthusiasts--we live in Hampton, NH now and have to opportunity to buy a clean, restored 1968 Camaro Yenko clone from a local individual--it was restored by a gentleman in Pennsylvania who unfortunately passed away during the process--the current owner believes the intention was to make it as authentic of a Yenko as possible--however when the owner died they just finished the car and put it up for sale--it has the following Yenko restorations:

- L72 427 Corvette Engine
- 4:10.1 rear end posi
- Close ratio 4-speed Muncie M21 transmission
- SW Pedestal Mounted Tachometer
- Interior Guages
- Standard Black Interior Code
- Holley Four-Barrell Carburator
- 3.73:1 Gearing
- Deluxe 3-point Steering Wheel
- YSC Serial Numbered Tag in Driver's Door Jam
- ETC ETC ETC

What it does NOT have and is the concern for whether or not I purchase it:

- No double-scooped fiberglass hood
- No Hockey Stripe (has rally stripes)

My "fear" is we will buy the car and people will see the Yenko badges on it and then those in the know will say it has the wrong hood and that Yenko's did not have rally stripes--I don't want to answer questions everytime we take it out for a drive--we LOVE the looks/stance of the car (picture attached)--just worried about the "false advertising" of it being a Yenko when it is not--your advice/opinions a greatly appreciated!

V/r
Bruce

If you like it, buy it. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone.

Tell everyone your dad ordered the car special without those two options, because he didn’t like them! Super rare and not for sale ever!

Thank you for the advice on removing the Yenko badges--I had thought the same thing but didn't know if it would damage the paint at all--appreciate it guys!
