The average person can't tell if a Camaro is a LS, LT, SS, or ZL1, to most people they all look the same. Companies sell the ZL1 side skirts, hood insert, and fascia for a reason. So that people can buy it

Its like going on a first date with a potato in your pants. Your not really giving an honest account of things.........
That's one of the nicest looking LT"s I've seen. That one is tastefully modded.

I would not have a problem doing it. It's a direct bolt-on. I've added all kinds of 2LT and SS stuff onto my 1LT. If any of your "camaro" friends give you the buisness, go find mustang friends, they will not know the difference.

If you like the way it looks, go for it. I love the ZL1 and it's front fascia!

I think the ZL1 front end is the best looking out there. I see no issue with putting it on an SS. Where I would hold issue is putting the ZL1 badges on an SS. A body panel and a "wanna be" badge are two totally different things.

I say go for it, throwing the ZL1 front on a LT is the same as throwing it on an SS to me personally, as long as you dont have the ZL1 emblem its not making it something its not, just changing the outside, not its identity. This hit for me personally as we have alot of people the SRT community who put SRT8 Body kits on their non-SRT8 jeeps, except alot of people who do that also put on an SRT8 badge, which to me is a no no. If you want an actual SRT8 save up for an actual SRT8, now if you just want the work and don't pretend its something its not without the badge there is no problem. Same goes for a ZL1, keep the badge off and your not pretending your something your not, you simply enjoy a different exterior styling. Personally I would hate to have the styling of a high range car with the low grade engine/powertrain as you will get people who will want to race you and you will never be able to cause your not that actual model car, thats just me but I feel that would be annoying if I drove one.

I love reading the different opinions and feedback on this.. I actually thought there would be a far more negative response than there has been.

i do think I will end up doing it (minus the badges, of course) I really love the look of it. Truth be told, I was probably just going to do it anyway, But I really was interested in the reception such a thing would garner.

ZL-1 Front

I hate it. I think it makes my car cheezy and poser like

Nicest looking? thats because it looks like a ZL1. Tastefully modded? It looks like a ZL1 replica, not a modded car, not "personalized", rather, it's copied. Maybe your taste, but certainly not mine.
To each their own.

Se like I said, the car looks great. Im sticking with the potato in your pants on the first date thing. Its like the fat guy who gets a tummy tuck and tells everyone he has been dieting and working out hard and that overnight his efforts paid off. I mean I have one of the less liked '11 L99 1ss models and I am proud to say what it is. I will have to fix and build a little to get what others get stock, no issue here.

It's a great looking mod to do. Don't listen to those that say it's trying to be something it's not because that's just plain not correct. You'd only be doing that by putting ZL1 badges on it or telling someone it is a ZL1.
