Question: Just got my H&R Springs, but...

The actual spring has a number that says: 50778

And on the box it says: 50776

What does that mean? I'm kinda worried here.

UPDATE:

I just called customer service from allsprings.com and the salesman told me that the part number that is stamped on the box is the correct one. And that it's very rare for the part numbers to match onto the spring.

That's what they told me, but am I the only one that thinks that it doesn't make any sense?

UPDATE #2:

I also just called H&R Springs directly and they told me the exact same thing. So I guess I shouldn't worry about it.

Try and install it if it doesn't fit then you send it back. One front shouldn't take you too long to do.

Thanks. I will be doing the install myself this Saturday so it'll be a fun project haha. I'll update this post with pics.

Yeah I saw the DIY already. It doesn't look too bad. We did coilovers on my brother's 370z last weekend and that was a pain!

You have the Sport Springs or Super Sport?

I had the regular sport springs but I didn't like it so I changed it out for the pedders Xa which was alot easier to install, just took a while to set the ride height.

Just because the PN on the box is not the same as its contents does not mean that you received the wrong items.I work for a DOD contractor and various parts in a box may have several different PN's but when they are assembled into a sub-assembly that part is assigned another PN and when its packaged w/different items the shipping box can have a completely different PN.

Your front springs may have one PN and the rear springs will have another PN. The instructions sheet may even be assigned a PN.Once all pieces are boxed those pieces combined as a "kit" can then be assigned yet another PN.
