Yep, not worth debating we go 1.22-1.25 on the outlaw drag radial car I think we have a feel for how good DR's can work.
I had to look up again what the stock tire height is for these cars... 28.7 inches right? 2 inches shorter than that is getting short. But I do agree with the 18's think now, I had a TBSS on 20's and the rims and tires were super hella heavy.

Yeah for now I'm pretty flexible, not going to run out and buy some 17x10's for my near term goal of 11.99, but for 2nd goal of 10.99 I will be much more focused on every little trick.

Tire size here isn't "chosen" by the engineers. Every aspect is dictated by the F1 technical regulations. Be interesting to see what they would come up with in F1 if they weren't restricted to what is essentially a spec wheel & tire. I know it's been said that without regulation F1 teams could build cars that could not be driven at the limit by a human being with G forces well beyond any current jet fighter causing redouts, blackouts & actual phisical damage to organs.

Nascar tire compared to an averege street car tire. I believe NASCAR tires are 300/54 R15 |

The small wheel/tall tire is used because you can control the tire with air pressure. A giant wheel is dead weight.
