Yes, it would be really cool.. But I think a "Start Engine" button is too.. Foreign and fancy. Hopefully someone will catch my drift.

Check out the new Aston Martin DB9 ignition. Got the opportunity to crank one the other day. WOW

There is if you installed an aftermarket stereo/nav system that has to boot up for a moment. It's a convience thing that I being the owner choose to have. All I want is to no cut power to the stereo to start it.

On one hand yes! cause it just is cool. On the other hand no. cause some person is going to make a device that can find the code to your car and VROOM there gone with the car. It would be more like 6 seconds instead of 60.

I like it on my vette. people with problems usually it's self inflicted. I leave my z06 on a battery tender from nov-feb because it does not get driven much. 3 years no dead battery. the vett is a bit different becasue the doors are electric open as well so if you battery is dead it is through the trunk and grap the emergency release.

it is technology though and some people struggle with it.

There's pluses and minuses. I had the push button in my C6 and it was cool but when the battery died it sucked...I couldn't get in the car had to open the trunk and pull a lever...pain in the a$$. I have push button on my lexus too and yes its more convenient but if the battery dies I will have the same problems getting into the car. One bonus for driving a manual tranny car and having a plain old key is being able to "bump start" the car if the battery dies...I dont think you can do that with a push button start. I know my C6 wouldn't when it died on me!
