Best tuner that you guys like?
Hey guys had a question that I can't decide on. I live in crap town where options are limited. By that I mean you have to know how to install your own mods and aftermarket items and there is no dyno unless you drive 3 or 4 hours to a city that does have one.
So because of my limited rescources (most dyno shops out of town are closed on weekends and i work full time on weekdays) I'm looking for tuners to do a street tune and get my car as close as possible until I can schedule a vacation or day off to get an appointment to go out and get a real dyno tune. In running an LS3 with cold air intake, 102 mm ported throttle body, vittisse throttle co troller, cat back exhaust with bbk headers and high flow cats, and Hurst shifter. I do have a zex nos system, a cam and few internal engine modifications I want to install but due to the lack of dyno or inability to get anywhere to do an install and instantly get dyno I've decided to hold off in fear of possibly making a bad situation. So for now those upgrades sit in a box in my garage. I figured with these simple bolt on mods I have installed at the moment all I would need is a good tuner to get a decent street tune and just drive down the road and adjust. In mainly eyeing a bulldog but can't decide among the many options. What are your guys favorite tuners or recomemdations? |

at the risk of repeating myself(lol-search dynoSteve at RDP) is THE BEST remote tuner and has a SCT/Tune for life deal that can't be beat. Been running his tune for 2 yrs now, car spec's and performance at bottom...good luck OP!

GPI for me!!!
I bought the SS1 VVT camshaft from GPI, I have HP tuners and Ryan remote tuned it. With only a couple of tweaks the tune was spot on. When I felt the need for more horsepower, I contacted Aaron at GPI. We discussed my goals and I decided to go with the Magnuson Heartbeat supercharger. Again, Ryan did the remote email tune. Obviously, the tune took a few more tweaks due to the supercharger. My SS runs great, I am very pleased with it's performance. I highly recommend the guys at GPI. They really know their stuff.

Dyno Steve, plus once you get setup with him you can keep getting tunes for free as you upgrade parts on your car. I have 4 different tunes I run, Naturally Aspirated 93 Octane, Nitrous 93 octane, Naturally Aspirated 100 Octane & Nitrous 100 octane. Really nice to be able to switch your tune in 10 minutes and run. SCT X4 gets my vote.

I hate to be the one, but...
Buy HPTuners VCM Suite and a wideband and tune yourself. https://www.hptuners.com/order.php Wideband that is compatible with HPTuners http://www.aemelectronics.com/?q=pro...and-uego-OBDII If you have stock cats still, weld in the bung(s) to the bbk o/r pipes. http://www.bbkperformance.com/produc...ce-pipes-.html Pillar guage mount by Autometer https://www.autometer.com/2-1-16-dua...aro-10-12.html Once you get setup and learn how, you can tune any time you need to after changing mods, etc.
