Passenger Door Leaking?

Hey guys. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed if their right-rear floorboard has ever been wet? I noticed yesterday that my carpet back there is wet. Not just damp, but actually wet.

I've noticed in the past that after it rains, if I open the passenger door I find water between the door and the door seal next to where the door seal plates are. I don't see that with my driver side door. I never gave it much thought before but am now thinking I may have a leak somewhere. Has anyone else noticed anything like this? I've got next week off and am thinking about paying my dealer a little visit. I've also discovered my spoiler is coming loose on the driver's side. <sigh> I was hoping I had dodged that little bullet...apparently not.

Any suggestions or ideas are much appreciated.

Thanks.

window seal leak or a pinched A/C drain tube.

Here is the TSB info on the A/C drain tube problem. If your carpets feel damp/wet, I am betting this is the issue. Do this, run your A/C for a few minutes, and look under the car, if you don't see water dripping, the A/C drain tube is pinched. Good luck.

Could be the rear side window leaking. One of our local club members took his in because that window was rattling. Turned out there wasn't any sealant put around the window, just the 3 positioning clips.

Thanks, guys. These are both great ideas. I'll check the window now, but checking the AC will have to wait a few hours.

Would the A/C drip water even in cold temperatures? It's mid-30s here right now.

nah...it's an actual leak. had my car in last week to get mine repaired. went out to the car after some heavy rain and found a small lake on the passengers floor board behind the front seat. got it fixed and all dried out with no problems. I really meant to post on here about this but time is short with this being the holidays. merry x-mas all!!

Can you elaborate on what was leaking and what the fixed involved? This may help determine the location of the problem.

It's not the A/C. If it was you would have this in the front passenger floor board under the dash, not where you say it is.

It's either your door isn't sealing correctly, or you have a leak around the rear side window.

Until you take it to the dealer, tape some newspapers all around under the windows to narrow down which it is.

tbh....I was in a very big hurry when I picked up my car but I will try giving my service dept. a call and find out exactly where the leak was. I can however say that the repair works just fine as we have had some more rain since the repair.

Pretty common issue from what i've read rear window leaks... Personally I think the side windows are a bit small, although I'm used to regular sized windows on my truck

ive had my 1ss/rs since july and have kept it coverede most of the time. I havent been lately due to the cold so recent rains ive noticed alot of water in rear floorboard on driver side.iv narrowed it to water collecting on the seals around bottom door sill that pools there and dripsdown into the car. going to dealer next week-wondering wjat the fix would be-new rubber sealing?
