Fun story, I was late getting off work, rushed to the track eating dinner in the car. Extremely hard in a racing harness.

Waited in the line to get into the track for an hour (thank goodness for my AFCO with Fans).

Got to the gate, and I had NO CASH!..... went in to turn around super pissed off.... decided to check the glove box... jackpot! Found a 20 all folded up!!

Boy am I glad about that now.

Around 300 cars at the track, which was insane, so I got 2 runs, waiting about an hour+ in staging for each. I had the new tires and I didnt remember to change the Revs per mile until I was waiting in staging... I flirted with the limiter on 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 and had to lift some to get the shifts.

That was my best 60ft run launching at 1795rpm after a 2nd gear 6 second burnout 18psi in the M&H got me a 1.44 60 ft 10.47 @ 129mph

I was very shocked, I had expected about 10.6x or a high 10.59 if all things went perfect based on my power etc, so when I had to lift some I knew it couldn't be good, it felt very fast out of the hole though!

Adjusted the shifts and added some fuel on the laptop between runs, it was getting some dense air that night for sure!

I was pretty happy with this, still had a few more tweaks to make, but after this run the track was shutting down.

Same burnout, launched at 2,095rpm and she had a little wheel spin so the 60 was not as good, still strong though. The shifts made a considerable difference. I had not expected lower 10s for my build, even from the beginning....so I am very happy with what I was able to put down. Felt bad for the Coyote I raced, he obviously had some serious power trapping 146.... Quic was just a little too much out of the hole on this run for em.

Thanks man, I agree it is always better down on all 4 rubber. No number plates yet, I decided I wanted to test a few more things in the tune and on the car. No better time than now while I have drag alignment etc in place.

Turns out my countless hours of blueprinting, wrenching, building, datalogging, tuning, logging, adjust.......you get the point, paid off

QUIC took me into the 9s, even weighing a full 220 after thanksgiving feasts! Haha

The track was bad in the morning but got better all day.

I think this thread is a nice Bang for the Buck example IMHO.

Very happy to be in the 9 second club, and proud to have done it myself, excluding 1st dyno tune by my tuner. And I guess the Chevy dealer who recharged my A.C.

It was a labor of love for sure, there is a lot of work that goes into race prep, and every little detail matters.

There are so many variables, I say all this not to discourage but to make awareness. If you aren't tuning or "fine tuning" yourself it gets very expensive and nearly impossible logistically. I was able to make tweaks and adjustments change timing fuel shifts and even boost sometimes to accommodate conditions and octane run after run.

This is why most people go bigger blower or bigger power adder, it's makes 9s easier.

My little baby LSA is dialed in for sure, not leaving much on the table, maybe a tenth or 2 if I pushed the revs higher or timing to the limits. Glad I found 9s without doing that.

Data wise, I'm on the Zl1 pump with FPCM, commanding 60psi low and 65 high. The ID850s were at peak 72% duty cycle and pressure on the rail with AeM gauge held 55psi at a low point. AFR held consistent.

Based on boost etc.... no dyno since I added 3 lbs boost but base dyno was 584rwhp now adding 3.4 lbs boost, I assume I'm in the 630-650 range.

Getting out of the hole hard made the difference for me. Supercars are awesome and I got them dialed in, HP helps but it doesn't make you fast!

Raced a Procharged Hellcat claiming quad digit HP.... I won by alot. (Driver error or not)

I encourage you to build the engine you like based on half your budget, then use the rest to make the car fast.
