Torque Converter
I see phastek has a *new* torque converter out for the ZL!, 2600-2800. I have a BTR Stage 3 cam, headers...which the TC supposedly will wake up. I just run the streets so the question is am I going to notice a difference. Don't imagine the install is cheap plus I'll probably have to run some cooling lines? Appreciate any thoughts

Just from the research ive done, if your car is an auto the 2600-2800 is too low for a stage 3 cam. You will likely need to look in the 3200-3600 range. Everyone says that its one of the best mods to do on your car and really wakes it up. However, I just elected to go with a GPI SS1 cam kit as I do not wish to replace the stall. This install at a shop would likely be a little more than a couple hundred bucks, and youre also supposed to run an additional transmission cooler as soon as you add a stall

$550 for a 2700ish stall converter with a billet stator!!!! that has my vote for street use all day long! Bargain! I'm going to look into this for my car. I still have the stock converter and trans in my car with 0 issues and I'm at 30,000 miles to date. Thanks for posting OP! Btw, I also run the street 99% of the time and this would be perfect. I've had every imaginable combo in this car and a slightly higher stall like this would get me right where I want to be.

Would a stall converter affect a tuned car?

My tuner recommends some adjustments after the install of a converter so yes I guess so.

I have a precision 2800 stall converter with the BTR3 cam. Not a single issue with driveability. The BTR3 blower cam is not as agressive as most seem to believe.
