Must be different in Sacramento, I see at least 2 challengers a day... but I see a 5th gen camaro MAYBE once every 2 weeks.

Is that the price of the new 650 HP GT500? I didn't know they had announced the price yet.

I am shocked that GM didn't make the LFX engine flex fuel, with its compression ratio I would think it would easily push 340BHP on E85....

The LFX is E85 capable, but not in the Camaro. To do that they'd have to replace the rest of the fuel system. Other cars, like the Impala, were already flex fuel capable so there was no extra work involved.

I know that I want the LFX Camaro to be E85.... I thought that was implied with my post why would I be asking if the Impala is E85 on the Camaro forum.

Not everyone knows that though. And I didn't know that you knew. You could have just thought that since other cars with that engine can run on E85, the Camaro should be able to too. You wouldn't be the first person to think that way about flex fuel vehicles.

Was curious...with all the sales numbers out for camaros...whats the percentage of the actual owners that use this website for whatever reason...??? Not to say those who don't aren't "enthusiasts"...but might be a sign of how many really do show an interest in these cars...

They haven't and that poster has no clue what he is talking about. I know a lot of people on this site believe Ford employees are somehow inferior to GM employees in financing and marketing, but anybody who really understands the business know better. That being the case, Ford is not going to price the GT500 $18k over the ZL1. All things point to the 2013 GT500 base price to undercut the ZL1 by a few bucks with the optioned out versions going for a few grand more, but certainly not anywhere $72k.

So. Mustang has always been that. It's the Camaro's turn.

I'm sure they are. A lot of folks on here were guessing at $60k plus on the ZL1, too.. Anything could happen in this crazy high-performance era, but it would certainly surprise me if the GT500 gets a $60k base.
