Getting closer

I made a decision in January that I want to purchase not only my first car, but have it be a CAMARO. I am 20 and I currently work two jobs. I did not have a credit card at the time so I applied at my credit union and got one. My post says getting closer because every time I pay off the bill on the card I get a split second of this "permagrin" you all talk about. Everytime I pay that bill and make my chances better at getting a better interest rate I smile. I am beyond excited to get this car. I have dreams about it and I am on this site daily. I am just counting down the days until I am driving around town in my new baby. Well...if you made it to this point thank you for reading....I admire all of you camaro owners

Good on all of you-- like Scott says, keep the faith! It'll happen... and it'll be WORTH it when you slide into the seat and get that first taste of Permagrin!

Sounds good...keep up the good work.

A word of caution though...it's no fun to live only to work to pay off a car. Not worth it IMO. Especially if you're not yet living on your own.

21 years old purchased mines for my 21st birthday. My previous car was a 2011 Cruze that my godparents co-singed for so that help me build my credit.

Your dream will soon become a reality!

yeaaa.... not to be a Debbie Downer, but it's gonna take more than just a few payments on a new credit card to boost your score.

My first financing rate when I was 24 and making $43k a year was a whopping 13%. And I didn't even have bad credit to start. Took me years to get it down.

Good luck to ya.

was 20 when i bought mine in Sep. all on my own. my credit was really good, never missed a payment on my 10 fusion se. actually paid a lil extra each payment. had that car since feb 2010 and applied for credit card at the same time and barely used it but paid it off immediately. so it's very possible for young guys to get a camaro.

Save up and put as much money down as you can. Good luck! You're gonna love it when it finally happens
