All you'll need is your valvetrain, ie pushrods, lifters, cam and valve springs bud.
I would suggest to you getting a specd cam from Ed Curtis (flowtech) or Brian Tooley (Brian Tooley racing) or the night fury. I'd also suggest valve springs/pushrods and lifters from Brian Tooley http://www.briantooleyracing.com/lifters.html http://www.briantooleyracing.com/spr...s-engines.html http://www.briantooleyracing.com/pushrods/ Just trying to trying to show you parts that have proven to be quality stuff!

Yep what litle said!!
Have you thought about staying VVT? The cams that keep the AFM are kinda weak, but if you do a VVT cam and an AFM delete it you do 95% of what is in that conversion kit. The VVT cams are making good power. I just installed TSP's VVT2 Cam and got their AFM delete kit with it. Just an option not really sure what your goal is or what your looking for. If you stay vvt, you'll need someone that "knows" exactly what they are doing with vvt.

The DOD/VVT delete from that Phastec link above is crazy expensive. Try the delete kit from LPE. Maryland Speed sells it and its much cheaper.
Other items recommended -trunion upgrade, -C5R timing chain, -pushrods measured for correct length(these you will have to order in the middle of the cam install), -valve spring kit that is recommended for your paticular cam(if you get new heads at the same time they will already include this), -cam of choice -maybe a Meling oil pump(debateable) -CNC ported or aftermarket heads if you have the extra coin -new head gaskets (I like LS9 but you can get LS3 replacement if FI is not in your future) -aftermarket torque converter speced for your car and cam.

The way i did this so that a shop who are not VVT experts is i had TSP put the tables and tune on my PCM. So when i take it to a shop who is familiar with non vvt LS engines they can fine tune the tune and already have the tables from the guys who made the kit

i think tsp can also send the cam phaser tables to the tuner via hp tuners...that means the tuner would need to have hp tuners as well.

stalls are great for the strip, not so much for autox and road courses.
