Elite Catch Can Not Working Very Well

This is the install location of my catch can:

Update:
I am nearing 20,000km (12,427miles) now so today I thought I would take the blower lid off and inspect for oil that the catch can is possibly not collecting. Not happy I did find some oil......I just hate to think how bad this would be without a catch can at all.

Here are the intake ports which look rather nice to be honest the fuel is cleaning the oil off and the valves too although i wasn't able to get the camera in to take a picture of the valves they were crystal clean like the port where the fuel is hitting.

Zoomed in version of the same port, you can see where the fuel has cleaned the oil off the port.

Ok so what to do now and the reasons why this is happening:
I believe the issue can be a couple of scenarios or a combination of these scenarios.
1. Heat, the location of the catch can does not get cool air so the oil inside the can is not able to condense and liquefy from oil vapor into oil. (To some degree it will be condensing just not all of it in this case)
2. Heat the system just runs hot combined with the above it does no favors

Solutions are:
1. Get a glass fuel filter and mount it on the return oil line as close to the catch can as possible, this should catch anything the can misses and run back into the catch can. Looks like this:

2. mount it on the other side where there is a lot more space, once the air box is removed and you have either an OTR or a pod filter
3. run 2 catch cans and a glass fuel filter - this is what i will be doing once i get it tuned with the Duspeed OTR. I have circled where I will be mounting the 2nd catch can.

(Note: I do not currently have the OTR fitted as I have not gotten the car tuned for it yet so I am running the stock airbox as seen in the first picture)

Not to nit pick, but are you sure you have it plumbed correctly?

Yeah here is a video of me telling others how to install the catch can on my car.

I have elite 1 mounted in same location. When I changed my blower at 6000 miles there was no oil. Clean about 1/2 inch or so of oil out of the can every 1000 miles

Mine is catching oil.....just not all of it.

Here are the measurements i recorded:

just over 5000km (3106miles) about 10ml (visually guessed the amount)
just over 10,000km (6213miles) about 15ml (visually guessed the amount)
11,685km (7260miles) exactly 30mls of oil (measured the amount)
15,115km (9392miles) exactly 42ml of oil (measured the amount)

(This was emptied every 600-1000miles into the same container so i could keep track of how much oil i have collected in total)

Each amount listed above is the total amount collected from brand new so in total i have collected 42mls + whatever else i have collected since emptying it into my container this weekend.

So the catch can is catching some oil.....just not all of it.

My catch can is not catching anything either. Granted mines a different brand but it's like it's not even installed. Still have oil pooling in the supercharger :(

It's because it's no big deal. You guys are a bit crazy with all this catch can stuff. GM designed the engine and endurance tested it to reach 100,000 miles with a warranty without everyone concerned where oil is or going. Let me take my oil pan out and inspect that for oil lolol.

Yes the engine will run for many years but it will lose performance once carbon oil and dirt combine and bake on to the valves like this.

I use the GM recommended large black bottle of Chevron Fuel System Cleaner every oil change. Have been for years. Never had any engine not perform well or look like that. I'm 50 so this isn't my first rodeo or not even close to my first performance car. The Chevron cleaner is the same exact product GM used to market as there top end cleaner btw.

Based on your findings no one will ever use a catch can ever again LOL

Do you also have the Clean-Side Separator Installed? If not, this oil could be the result of ingestion from the Clean-Side.

Thanks for the reply, I don't have it installed however I have looked at the hollow tube on the intake pipe and the throttle body + intake tube all are oil free.
