Dealer Fees

Anyone else seeing the dealer add on fees...other than 'mark ups'

Here's what I recieved:

MSRP $33,430.00
$395.00 Cyber Gray Metallic Stripe Package (B7W)
$1200.00 RS Package (WRS)
$35,025.00
$499.00 Dealer Service Fee
$289.00 Paint Sealant
$35,813 + TTL

Now...we all know both the 'DSF' and 'Paint Sealant' are a crock...I want to be pleasant with my dealer and I don't mind paying MSRP...but I don't want to pay for 'nothing'. More importantly...I don't want them putting ANYTHING on the paint...as I will be taking care of that myself and don't want the added pain of stripping off whatever they put on it.

Ugh....what a pain.

i never understood why they have 'dealer fees'...dealers always tell me its for admin stuff, and all the paper work bla bla bla...i thought the $1000's they were making on the car sale paid for the paperwork...

I'll be telling my dealer to screw fees. They make a profit off the sale even if it is at invoice. If I have to pay an extra dime, I'll walk out angrily.

Paint sealant..........its called clear coat and it already comes with it. Same for Scotchgard on the upholstery. Don't fall for those scams.

I don't think so.....read the bottom of the invoice sheet....(c) MSRP, Employee prices ........do not include applicable destination charges...ttl

Should be $34,180 base MSRP.

You're both right, kinda!?!

MSRP is $33,430 but after you include the $750 destination charge, it comes to $34,180.

If they try to add on a lot of fees, one way of expressing your disgust is to yell "**** THAT" while knocking various papers and other objects off the salesperson's desk as you walk out of the office. ...or so I've been told, yeah...
