For all of you guys considering Recaro seats I offer this input. I had a 2012 ZL1 for nearly two years. The standards seats are very comfortable but not supportive enough, especially the seat cushion firmness. I recently traded for a 2014 and I ordered the Recaros. I love them but they will not be for everybody. I'm a bigger guy, 6' 2" around 210lbs. I'm about at the edge for fit between the back side bolsters. If you are a bigger guy, you should go to a local Chevy dealer and try to find a car with these seats. Sit in them and see how you fit. They are very supportive while still offering some level of comfort. They are not nearly as comfortable as the 12-13 seats.

Seats

My 14 ZL1 came with the Racaro seats. They were a 2k option by the sticker. Takes a little getting used to the tight fit on your sides but I do like them now

I do not see what the big deal is with the Recaro seats, I have a 13 ZL1 and a 14 Z28 and not really that much difference?? I can see if using 5 point.
Maybe it's me I am 6ft 2 and 180

Shoulder width and upper body build to take into account!

Maybe I need to sit in some myself. It might change my mind.
Love that 182! I have an older Q model but I found it with only 1300hrs Total Airframe. Cheers!!!

So, is the consensus that these are coming for sure? We just don't have an ETA or price yet? I'm very much considering grabbing an on the lot ZL1 that seems to be a good deal... but no Recaros. :( If it's in the future I may be more willing to just grab this one.

I am a thin guy, so maybe that's why I see no difference. I have the Z28 and ZL1 seats to me are the same. I can see a difference if using 5 point belts. 1300tt is like new for a Q 182!

Maybe I need tips on how to sit? Should your knees be bent and be up close to wheel? I keep seat all the way back and legs strait.
