Supercharger with a stock bottom end no E85.

Just what the title says. Who here runs a stock bottom end with any kind of forced induction? Any problems? Detonation? I appreciate your guys time and input in advance.

Been running forced induction for 6 years. Between 10 -16 psi or 700 - 800 rwhp 93+meth. The key is good fuel system and good tuning.

I run a Whipple with 3.875 pulley 9.9 psi no issues. I have some fuel system upgrades - ID850, LPE dual fuel pumps - plus headers and CAI intake and 3" flowmaster exhaust. Like nearly any mod, the tuning is the key. A bad tuner can kill a stock motor. A great tuner can let you daily drive decent boost numbers and high HP builds wild builds. Mine is tuned by JRE and I have no complaints. He was great with providing what I was looking for and explaining more HP can be gained by sacrificing safety incrementally and offering me the opportunity to increase if I wanted to. There are several other great tuners out there, but that's the only one I've dealt with. He was incredibly responsive to all calls and emails and that's what you want if you're going to invest in boost/cam/etc. Shop around and feel comfortable, they make or break your build not the parts and you should heed their advice on what parts and combinations work well and don't. The tune is the brains of the operation. You don't want a brain dead car.

Right now I have the trick flow heads and cam kit from summit, long tubes with off roads cats, zl1 pump and injectors, and aem cai. I’m really wanting to supercharge or procharge it, I just don’t want to destroy my motor.

The as purchased kits are fairly conservative and give decent gains whether turbo or super charged. I think you'll be fine and soon find yourself wanting to up the boost. Get a reputable tuner. Ask then if they've tuned similar setups and they'll likely tell you what kind of HP you'll expect at what reliability. Most will have a safe and max tune with at least one inbetween.

LOL, I doubt many are pushing the envelope any harder than I am on an SBE. LS3 is a tough block but like others have already stated its all about the fuel delivery, tune, how you drive it, and a little luck doesn't hurt either.

I had a procharger i1 bolt on + intercooler + tune at around 500hp with a dyno dynamics (heart breaker dyno), had this for about 3 years. Currently getting D1SC 10PSI with Dynatech headers and cats, aiming for 550-600. All stock bottom and even clutch has held up with absolutely no issue. I suspect 650 rwhp is the upper limit I would feel safe as a daily driver reliability. I think you could push it more but I wouldn't fall off my chair in shock if someone reported something breaking on the bottom end at that point.

I do - Procharger installed last December. A good tune and you'll have no problems. Strictly a street machine so far. MPG about the same as long as you keep your foot off the fire wall.
