4l80 Swap - Cruise Control VSS PCM pin identifier

Guys -

I know many of us have done this and used the great post from Diet Coke, I am one of them. Sadly that thread is running light and have a 101 question here that I thought I knew the answer to.

I struggled to get VSS working thru the PCM and finally got it nailed by using a Dakota Digital GPS-50-1 and tweaked it to provide VSS for my logging, speedo, HUD, and all tapped to Pin-71 on the PCM.

I am gonna now apply over to the Cruise Control side of the PCM and the DD box has provisions for this as well - but for the life of my can't find the pin and know it's on the X1 or X2 module - have the schematics - but never figured I would actually get this cranking and surprisingly I have.

Any help here is appreciated.... For some reason Pin-57 rings in my head but if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Thx

Yea - I never planned to either and rarely need it "if ever" but am so close and should be cake if I just know the pin - which I thought I knew and now brain drain......

Thanks for the response.

That would be cool. I am thinking about using my CC buttons for a Trans Brake.

There's a company Pcmofnc that makes a harness for plug and play swap from 6l80. They can't get cruise control to work either which seems like it would coming from one auto to another. But as far as I know there are people working on it but just haven't figured it out yet.

Never tried to get the cruise to work. Speedo worked at first but quit. Tried hooking up the vss out from the trans controller to the pin #71 lime others suggested on here, no luck and haven't messed with it since.

I am using the MSD atomic TCU, I have the speedo working with the VSS output of the tcu to the VSS input on the E38. Had to change to serial in the tune and adjust to 8 pulses/rev (atomic tcu outputs at 20k pulses/mile).

My issue now is I have no idea how to get cruise to work. Is there additional stuff that has to be fixed in the tune?

Anyone know?

Are you guys going from 6L80 to 4L80, or from M6 to 4L80? I have a complete plug and play harness for guys with a 6L80 that keeps everything in working order except for tap shift (that's the only thing you lose).

M6 guys, yea, it is a lot more difficult.

M6 to 4L80e. RPM trans said it should work. Going to try a few more things before giving them a call.

I have the PCM of NC harness...
Speedo works (may be slightly off because GPS varies but it could be my phone app thats off)
Cruise control works same as factory
Auto Start works same as factory

Paddle Shifters don't work! (Would love it iff they did tho but have yet to find anyone who has made it work without the full OVERPRICED kit from TCI

4l80e with D3 transbrake from jakes
Pulled my hurt/stock shifter for a B&M Stealth ratchet with integrated T-Brake trigger
