the power difference is very noticeable, it pulls a lot harder and stays cooler. I see an average of at least 10 degrees difference in temps. however on the down side of E85, you go through a lot more gas. especially if you have a heavy foot. the exhaust is quieter on E85, drivability is about the same. idle is similar. haven't had any difference in cold starts either.

I'm running a fore innovations double pump. they work amazing. only difference is you actually do have to let the accessory run through before starting for those of you that just start and go.

Most people would say hellno for that cost. But that doesn't represent the cost many have in an e85 conversion. It can be far less than that when doing upgrades.
A DSX sensor kit is $300. A mail order tune adjustment for e85 can be $100+. Your existing already upgraded injectors and fuel system might not need changing. You might be able to put on the parts and load the tune yourself.
As part of an upgrade package is it worth $500+, hellyeah.
e85 costs far less than even low octane at the pumps so the fact that it guzzles it evens out.

75hp can be had via pulleys or camshaft and tune alone. So there are far cheaper ways to get that first 75hp. It's more of a where do I want to get that next step up.

Right now, E85 prices in Wisconsin are around $2.00/gal. 93 Octane premium is close to $3.00/gal. A friend who runs E85 in his Camaro and Mercedes says E85 costs him about 1 or 2 mpg in under normal driving.

In an effort to save you some money-
Dave / DSX has a package on his site that includes the sensor, 1300x, and his aux pump kit for $2,700. You can get it with 1700x for $3,175. I'm not sure what route you planned on going, but $4,000 for parts seems steep to me.

Ahhhhhh. I understand. I'm personally gonna skip dropping the tank and instead just go with the aux pump. What is the main draw to the in-tank setup now that the aux approach has a lot of history under its belt?

Dropped my tank to put the fore dual pump in. Also cut a hole under my back seat so it never needs to be dropped again. Double dyno-matted over both pans under the seat to,and use of dual mode exhaust flaps, so I bought a 12.00 12volt wireless controller and wired it to the oem connections. now I can open and close anytime I want.

Here is a baseline then 93 vs. e85 on a modded 2015 zl1. The tune would be the same for 91 octane we would just limit the boost with a slightly larger pulley more then likely.

My understanding is single pumps are notoriously failure prone, particularly in high temperature settings. Not so with the dual or triple pump setups.

Please take my advice and this was given to me by Ted, if your gonna do e85 and a fore system pay the xtra coin and get the LSA fuel rails. The oem rails are restrictive at the back cylinders. LSA rails give you even flow across the rail. Takes 30% more e85 than 93. Plus they are nice looking and bolt right up.
