Dealers tool can't talk to my Car's ECM...

Hey everybody, I need help with my 2010 Camaro SS.

So I had a P0205 (open circuit injector 5) and I couldn't figure out what was causing it. I replaced the injector, checked the wiring, and replaced the PCM but sent it back after the problem remained. After much frustration I decided to take the car to a dealer.

I got a call after a week and a half of them having the car and they said that they can see the code, but their computer can't talk to the car's ECM. I had an aftermarket tune on the car, but I reverted the car back to stock before I took it to the dealership. I have some modifications, but just bolt-ons, i.e. intake, headers, etc.

Any idea what the heck is going on?

A situation happened to me that sounds similar to this. Has your car been tuned? It is very possible the tuner locked your ecm so they're the only one who can access it. Although if that is the case, your dealer should have a tool that can flash it back to stock even if it is locked. Absolutely worst case scenario, you replace your ECM like I had to do. Replacements aren't as expensive as you'd expect.

My car was tuned, but I reverted it back to stock before I took it to the dealership.

Unfortunately, I didn't even bring the car in for this, which means more money! :(
