Sleeping with the enemy
I took these pics in Beaver Falls, PA today. Incredible car cruise. Several miles of Main street packed with lots of muscle and classic cars. I can't fathom the amount of money that was parked there. Ran into Zekefreak for the second car cruise in 2 days. Met Camarovette. Shouted hello to Casper as we drove past each other. Saw Pinks Camaro, or at least a pink Camaro. Pics of it posted on her members journal page. Talked for awhile with a really cool Challenger owner who was so busy asking me questions about my car that I had a hard time asking him questions about his. Best of all his car was orange with black details. Anyway I found this parking place after Zekefreak stuck his head in my passenger window during stopped traffic and said to find a place to park. I was origionally parked about 4 down from his 1980 Camaro. (do I have the year right Zeke?) I thought the title of this post proper for these pics. I snuck in when they weren't looking. I must say this was the most incredible cruise in I've ever been to and the one in Wexford, Pa every Friday night is impressive. Lots of food and trinket vendors. Packed with amazing cars of all kinds and tons of people. I only took 4 pics because otherwise I never would have gotten out of there. Next time they do it I will plan a full day to go and experience it. Hope you enjoy these pics. Jamie

How special is that where you can take something that means a lot to you and share it with people of all heights and stripes and have them appreciate it just as much, or almost as much as you do? Pretty damn cool if you ask me.

What really tickles me about looking at cars from the 80's and 90's is that they're forever stuck in a time warp. It just takes another 10 or so years from when they're new to realize that. Can't hate Stangs completely though as it's a huge reason as to why we even have the Camaro in the first place.

HA! That is GREAT!!!!
Oh, man....and you know what? I would have LOVED to have parked right there too. That is my favorite year body style Mustang...and believe it or not, I'd have no problem what-so-ever in parking right there with the guys. Man...to see pictures like this....I just can't wait for all the car shows...taking my boys...letting them submerse themselves into the "car world" as I like to call it. I hope they love cars as much as me. But, if they don't, it won't bother me a bit. At least I'll have some fun bringing them up in a world where people can get along, enjoy a day out, and people with all sorts of likes can come together for a nice time. Very cool, Jaime. I'm envious! oh....and I LOVE the thread title! |

This is what popped into my mind after seeing these pics:
"are you ready to order, sir" "yes, I'll have the Filet Mignon sandwich on wonder bread" |

YEP! My old room mate had a maroon 93 which I got to drive....ONCE. That was the first time I'd EVER felt that much power. A friend in HS had a vert 93 that looks a lot like the one in teh pic. It was silver with blue accents.
But, my old roommate got a 93 Cobra (all black) after his 93 was stolen out of my old apt complex. THE COBRA WAS IMMACULATE! I LOVED that car! That was by far the coolest stang I'd ever ridden in. I was pullin 120 all the way back from Kerrville to San Antonio at about 3am one Saturday night so many years ago. I can't believe I did stuff like that. hehehe....he didn't want to get a ticket, but wanted to get back quickly. He knew I'd do it...let me drive...and we were off. That car was just so damn sexy. LOVED it. |

I hate those year mustangs. I think they look like trash. DUde the 3rd gens look a trillion times better than those cars.

Man great shots. God it brings back crazy memories for me. Those 5.0 stangs were king in my day. I remember pulling up to one at a stop light with my 80 trans am with a 5.0 motor in it thinking this should be a good race. I had no clue back then about how important weight to power ratio back then when i was 19. I seen him pull away while i was spinning my tires i was like wtf was that. Wasnt even even a fair fight. It was like going to a gun fight with a butter knife. Reality check time for me to say the least
