Question dumb question time: 2LT door/dash bits in a 1LT?

as you may or may not know when the day comes to ordering my car i am gonna get a 1LT CGM (see sig image . now for me i do not care about things like the leather, and i know i can install the 4 pack console gauges in the 1LT. after seeing pics of another members 2LT or 2SS with the CGM trim i fell in love with the looks of it. I do not care if they do not light up but can you swap in the 2LT or 2SS bits in the 1LT or 1SS?

Red face

i guess i was not clear enough the plastic parts on the door and dash that are body color. i know the door parts light up with the ABM but i do not care about that, what i am asking is can you swap out or just install the plastic parts on the dash and doors to give it the LOOK of said interior bits of the 2LT/2SS?

They are not body colored. They are colored depending on the interior color you get.

AKA...a yellow car will not have yellow inserts...a blue car will not have blue inserts...etc.

There are only 3 colored inserts that come from the factory.
Orange, Silver/pewter, and champagne-esque.

You may have seen the yellow SEMA car that had the yellow inserts...but that was for the SEMA car. GMPP does have other colors coming...but they are add-ons...they are not standard.

Not sure if what you want to do is worth what you'll wind up paying for in parts.
Plus I'd be real concerned after messing around with these parts is squeaks and rattles.

Question

http://camaro5.com/forums/showpost.p...&postcount=184

that door trim looks a lot like CGM to me, if not then what color is it? it may be just easier to get a 2LT and change the wheels out (i honestly prefer the 'heritage wheels' that are on the 1LT that is in my sig image) :(.

That's the standard colored insert that comes with the black and gray leather interior.

It's not CGM...it's lighter...but darker than SIM.

Also, I thought the "Heritage" wheels were the black steelies...

You could always get the 2LT and buy a set of the 18" wheels for the winter (if you're going to attempt to do so).
