Stock mufflers
Hi,
I cut the stick mufflers of my 2011 camaro SS 6 years ago and put on Borla mufflers My question is why am I saving the stock mufflers Are they worth anything? Or should I just scrap them they take up serious space!! |

I scrapped mine once they were replaced. I had zero intention of ever going back to stock.

However cats are a different story. Changing laws, a move to other smog state or resale makes them worth keeping.

I've had the Solo axle backs on my '10 SS for almost 12 years now. I've kept my stock mufflers
standing up in my shed ever since. takes almost no room. I figure why not just keep them.

I had some initial thought of keeping mine but the shear size of those bloated things made them a bitch to store...Bye ya.

Mine are gone and I’ve never said, “damn I wish I had the stock mufflers”. Then again they were deleted before I bought it…

I'm all for a good sounding exhaust, but I have bought a few cars in my time (mainly Corvettes) that had horrible drone mufflers. Went on craigslist, bought stock exhaust and got them back to normal. I'm just saying before you throw them away, craigslist is free and you can make a few extra $$$.

One of my friends just cammed and whippled his Camaro and installed LT's and an off road mid section and left the rest of the exhaust from the mid section to the tips and man does it sound good!! He says he doesn't have any drone either with it. She barks really loudly when you romp on it, but is just right at idle.. So there's that thought.
