PQ, in your video you say to torque the drive shaft nut to 159 lb-ft but the text above that you posted says 199 lb-ft. I'm wondering if I should go back and re-torque the nut.

Wow. Is that were the noise is coming from? I never noticed the noise til after I did the diff swap. We were thinking it was coming from the from the axels. DSS shipped me another set of axels. Which are arriving today. Calling the dealer about those washers right now.

That TSB is actually for more that just the Camaro. Same TSB is for the Cadillac as well. I went with the Camaro install manual for the specs. Plus I verified it with shop that did a few axle installs.

It's truly amazing what a couple of washers can do!

Dtrimpi87, I remember while I was making the video I first mentioned that it was 199 and then I changed it when I talked to a shop that did axles.

I can't find the info. All I'm finding now is 199 so I'd just do it to 199.

I overlooked it to verify. Good catch. I'll update the op till I can find the real number.

Just got them ordered. Not sure that's the whole issue, but sure it's some of it.

THX PQ. Great video BTW and no injuries.

I think I may go back in and tighten to 199.

I dont' remember who I talked to with the 159 but everything I'm finding now says 199. I should have just stayed with that.

PQ...

That was a great watch FYI. You could do your own Junkman type vids! HA!..

But, for the weekend mechanics out here it was excellent. And, if even if they are not doing it themselves, for whatever reason, it gives them confidence/knowledge to proceed and insure whatever mechanic they choose does a good job! So thanks all around!

Glad you didn't bust your knuckles on that. I was curious if you greased up your camera by mistake though! LOL....

I'm a L99 guy. I have no need or desire for that.
