All model rockers/side skirts have the same mounts?
Hi all,
I've tried the forum search function, but it's not working at the moment, likely my work computer blocking it. Wanted to pick the brains of the crowd on here in regards to the rockers on the different models of 5th gens. I have a 2012 ZL1 (new to me) and I want to swap the rockers out for a set of real carbon fiber ones. I've been searching high and low but most places stocked the AC models which are no longer in production. I've even ordered from Southern Car Parts, but my order was refunded, I assume because of the same reason above. Question is, do all the rockers (side skirts) share the same mounting holes etc? I know the overall profile is different on some but figured they all share the same body (roughly) down the sides. Since I can't find any real carbon listed for the ZL1 I may try the Z28 recreations. Yes I know I could have them wrapped, but I'd prefer that as a last resort, as I have real carbon front air dam/splitter, fog light bezzels and rear exhaust valance to replace the factory plastics and want the skirts to match. Ok I've gone on long enough, don't beat up the newb! Thanks! |

OK so I'm a dolt, did a google search, and obviously I found some other threads on these forums that show the factory side skirts are interchangeable. Should've had another coffee before my first post.
Has anybody installed real carbon fiber rockers on their cars? Are most of them where you have to drill into you existing rockers? Not much information on the venders websites. TIA |

I ordered a set of carbon fiber rockers before I installed the ZL1 rockers. The finish was great but the fitment was going to take a good amount of work. For $1000 rockers I think they should fit really good. Just my opinion.

I ordered the C7 carbon fiber side skirts but ended up sending them back. I went with a set of Garys ZL1 side skirts.
