Modded 425 rwhp Mustang 5.0 vs modded l99 next Saturday night

My buddy is now putting down 425 rwhp in his 5.0 and is looking for trouble haha. We havnt ran since his mods and my 3200 stall and drag radial upgrade. He will be on street tires so i know theres an advantage for me. His car pulls hard up to so it should be good. Maybe a 6th gen will run me but who knows.

Isn't the 5.0 severely lacking low end torque? I don't know what makes me think that, I feel that I've heard it somewhere. Anyway, if it reigns true, you have more than enough on your side haha. I think you should still get him, definitely be sure to let us know how it goes though! Same if a 6th gen steps up to the plate!

Dont believe any of that. Most of those comments come from people that havnt even run their car. Theres alot more internet racers the auctual racers here. You cant sleep on a 5.0. They are a bear to launch so gossips right....it should be over at the line. My buddy and I both know he needs drag radials but we just want to test out our new mods. Should be fun

Is he manual or automatic?

I think if you are ahead at the 60' you'll be fine. What is your car putting to the wheels? 425rwhp is pretty good if an auto.

Im 365 rwhp 405 ft lbs torque. Hes manual but can really drive.

He better be the worlds best driver. To out launch a stalled auto on drag radials. Even if you just get an OK launch. You should be two to three cars out easy. I think your going to be shocked the first pass you make on the stall. As good as it is on the street. It's retarded on a prepped track.

Auctually.....im excited as f $#k to launch my car lol. He knows how hard my car runs. He isnt expecting to win without drag radials we are both more interested in how our mods helped out both cars.
