You don't need to lift, but you will want to take the nose off. 3 hour job.

Okay sweet, that's a big relief. One of the things I did *not* transport 1200 miles across the country was a quality jack and set of jack stands. So if I don't need to lift the front end it makes my life easier/cheaper lol.

I did find an okay writeup online for an Afco brand HX installation - seems like as long as I have the correct size torx and sockets it should be quite straight-forward.

Thanks for the input my man!

An additional note: if you buy the Afco with fans, you may want to consider installing a switch to turn them off/on: they're as loud as a bus and are really only necessary on hot days, and when standing idle or driving slow. You can install the switch later also.

It can be done much quicker than that. I felt it was one of the easiest noses to take off. Electric impacts and ratchet come in very handy for speed if you don't have those..I recommend picking some up.

DMS did my tuning and provided most of my parts that I couldn't get from Texas Speed. I also daily drive my ZL1 with bigger injectors and a few larger mods than you're looking to do and the car runs great. Matt and the guys are awesome and they do a great job. I wish they were still local to me here and not in the Dallas area they are greatly missed around here.

You will be in great hands, and they will always answer any questions you have and help you out in a pinch.

I had an incident where I was getting E-85 from the local HEB here and the fuel transport driver filled the holding tank up with diesel by mistake. Long nightmarish story short, I had my car dropped off there the same day and it was ready to be picked up the next day.

I took my first ZL1 to Andy at Lewisville which was a 2013 A6 and he did a great job on it. Car is still doing good today as when it left his shop in the fall of 2013. Never have had a problem. It left his shop with 811hp at the motor and 723hp at the rear wheels. If you live close to him I would advise you to go see him and talk to him. He knows how to make these Z's run and will not sell you something you do not need. I think he is in the vendor section but if I remember right it is called ADM or AMD performance in Lewisville tx.
