Fuel filter on these cars is lifetime iirc, but may be wrong. It would have to be BOTH o2 sensors fouled.

That’s good

but surprising as I don’t think anyone who posted about the hot start cable fix ever said they had any CEL lights,etc.

There have been others that reported CEL, limp mode,etc that was attributed to a bad ground that when fixed took care of their problem. Maybe you had a bad ground issue that caused your problems including your starting issue that got remedied when you added the 2nd ground

Anyway good luck, post back in a mo or so to say how things are going.

Ive changed out the obvious. Battery, starter, alternator and alternator regulator. Gonna try the secondary engine ground
