That is all it takes to do it, and get a 3/8 plug and 2 hose clamps

Now I guess I need to install it...

Don't see why not use it in the V6.

I also got the call that my GTO reservoir and new Camaro reservoir are in. I believe it's been posted before, but the L99 and LS3 cars both use the same combined reservoir...there's just a tab that they snap off to attach the hose for the manual cars. I am going with a new reservoir to avoid any issues with the hose plug leaking...

Which dealer did you buy it from?

I just called a couple local dealers and the don't have it, said it was on back order, and I would need a VIN to order it.....and no ETA on arrival.

Anyone have a GTO VIN they can PM to me so I can use it?

The issue is the same one experianced by the C5 & C6 vettes for years. The real issue is several design flaws not corrected properly since 1997. First the line from the master to the slave runs to close to the exhaust, and adding headers makes it even more of an issue since the heat causes the fluid to breakdown & and develop sludge, which reduces the ability of the fluid to move back and forth through the system.

Second, the resivoir on the master is to small for agressive driving allowing the fluid to break down to quickly (you can do frequent changes like the road course guys do and avoid the issue).

The cars driven "normally" (read: slow shifts) rarely encounter this issue, but quick & frequent fast shifts and clutch action are where it rears it's ugly head.

There have been several fixes through the years, the "drill" mod, different fluids, etc., but the only real solution is a remote large capacity resivoir and a way to move, or circulate the fluid through it so there is always a fresh, cool, clean supply of fluid to the system.

Not very practical for the everyday average driver, but a great mod for the agressive driver or road racer.

I have not released this system yet, but if anyone wants more info let me know.

So let me pose this question, if the GTO reservoir seems to be a bugger to get, why couldnt one get another Camaro reservoir and use that in tandem? It it has the to outlets use that bridged into one line, so you would have the original reservoir for the brake system. Then the second Camaro reservoir with two lines going to a "Y" for the clutch??
Crazy idea?
Cheers
